General Information


Industrial engineering is the engineering discipline that concerns the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated systems of people, knowledge, equipment, energy, and material. Industrial engineering draws upon the principles and methods of engineering analysis and synthesis, as well as mathematics, physical, and social sciences. Industrial engineers work to eliminate wastes of time, money, materials, energy, and other resources.


The Industrial Engineering program prepares the student for a career including leading a role in the design, improvement and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment and energy. An industrial engineering graduate must have specialized knowledge and skills in mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results obtained from such systems.


Career Options / Opportunities


Graduates of BS Industrial Engineering Program are highly equipped to perform services in the form of analysis, design, preparation, of plans, specification estimates and implementation of work standards, statistical process control systems, production planning and material control system, manufacturing and service facilities, operations research models for productions, operations and /or information systems.
