ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda visits FEU - East Asia College

November 05, 2009

More than 1,300 Engineering and Computer Studies students, and Associates from the Academic and Administrative departments of FEU - East Asia College supported and watched the live broadcast of ABS-CBN’s  Umagang Kay Ganda on October 26, 2009 at the FEU Student Pavillion.
The broadcast is in line with the “Boto Mo, iPatrol Mo : Ako ang Simula”  Halalan 2010 campaign of the station, wherein citizens are called on to guard their votes by actively patrolling elections and election-related events. It also aims to empower voters through technology — because Boto Mo, iPatrol Mo encourages citizens to phone, send SMS, and email reports or first hand accounts of election incidents in their communities. ABS-CBN checks the  validity of the reports before broadcasting in national television.
Hosts Edu Manzano, Bernadette Sembrano, Rica Peralejo, Atom Araullo, Pinky Webb , Donita Rose, Alex Santos and Anthony Taberna were motored inside the campus by a 50-seater  “Boto Mo, iPatrol Mo :  Ako ang Simula” Halalan  2010 bus, thus officially opening a round of Boto Mo, iPatrol Mo registration for the would be Boto Mo Patrollers.
In one of the segments of the show, anchor Anthony Taberna served as mediator of the debate on the pros and cons of the two-party and multi-party systems. Six members of the Student Council clearly stated their respective arguments on the subject matter. Umagang Kay Ganda also showcased live performances from FEU Pangkat Kawayan, FEU Dance Company and FEU - East Asia College’s Exude Dancers. At the end of the show,  local band, Hale, rendered their newest hit song to the audience.
