Student Leaders Participate in the LTS 2010

August 12, 2010

More than 140 student leaders from the 20 Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) participated in this year’s Leadership Training, Seminar (LTS) and Teambuilding Activities conducted on July 25 and 31, 2010 at Amansinaya Resorts in Laurel, Batangas and FEU – EAC campus respectively.

The first day of activity was held at Amansinaya Resorts. The venue was spectacular as it served as an avenue for student leaders to bond and unite as one team. The teambuilding was divided into three activities -- the obstacle course facilitated by Student Activities and Development Unit (SADU), the activity prepared by Guidance Unit (GU), and the trekking at Ambon-Ambon Falls.

Student leaders enjoyed all the obstacle courses particularly the giant ball, zip line, and mud slide. GU was also successful in uniting all the student leaders from different organizations. The trekking, on the other hand, made the students appreciate nature and be reminded of its importance.

The second day of the training was an in-house seminar conducted by Prof. Renato Jose Molano of De La Salle University (DLSU). With the theme “FEU - EAC - Forming Exemplars United in Excellence and Advocating Change: Linking 3Ts Towards Premiere Student Leadership” ASAP : Aking Sisimulan ang Pagbabago, student leaders learned that TRADITION, TRANSFORMATION, and TRANSITION are important and necessary to achieve one’s goal. After the seminar, SADU led the turn-over ceremony and mass induction of student leaders.

It is truly enjoyable going out and seeing other places, but this year’s leadership training, seminar and teambuilding activities did not forget its main objective -- to impart the positive change to all the participants.
