FEU-East Asia College joins “Right Degree” campaign

August 24, 2010

In its endeavor of reminding students the importance of education, FEU- East Asia College joined the three-day conference entitled “Right-Degree: The 2010 College Conference and Exhibit” on August 12-14, 2010 at the Clamshell, Intramuros.

The exhibit opened with balloon bursting which deviate from the usual ribbon-cutting ceremony that normally signals the launching of events. Hundreds of students from 26 schools participated. Exhibitors endeavored to provide the participants enlightenment on what course to take up in college by presenting them a variety of career choices and giving them a gist of the different disciplines they offer through their booths.

Additionally, each exhibitor conducted a 30-minute talk per day. These talks enabled the students to have an idea of the courses they might take. For its part, FEU-East Asia College’s discussion on Animation, Civil Engineering and Electronics and Communications Engineering contributed to their discernment.

Students enjoyed samples and perks from the participating exhibitors. Other schools entertained them by having photo booths, interactive robots, and mechanical chairs. These freebies gave them a taste and glimpse of what college is like. These enabled the students not just to enjoy these free items, rather, to experience and see the career or course that might suit their interests and skills best.

Indeed, more than the freebies and the experience that the students gained during the exhibit, it is the knowledge that they acquire that mattered most. This knowledge that every participating university and college imparted them will surely help them and guide them not just to a path of their interest but, most importantly, to a path that leads to the success of their future.
