January 31, 2011

With passion, dedication and commitment combined with excellence in hand, Leo Lorenzo N. Luis was hailed Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). This recognition is given to individuals with exceptional contributions to technical communities. MVPs are highly respected as they are recognized not only in the Philippines but also in over 90 countries worldwide. Currently, the Philippines has 26 MVPs while there are 4, 000 around the world. The passion and knowledge shared by these individuals through conferences, forums, newsgroups and blogs make great impact worldwide.

Apart from this title, Luis was able to break the record as he was also the first Microsoft Student Partner and the youngest to receive such an award in the country. This recognition is normally given to professionals; however, his contribution and commitment were apparent enough that he was acknowledged even while still a student. Along with this award, he is also recognized as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist.

“The environment inside FEU - East Asia College compelled me to do well in my field; the excellence I’ve seen from the higher batches influenced me to put on my best efforts which made me at par with professionals around the globe,” shares Luis. The milieu inside the College boosted his determination to be in line with the successful professionals of FEU - East Asia College. His recognition would not also be possible if not for the academic Programs Specialist Mellie Valimento and the Breadth Developer Evangelist Tim Vergel de Dios.

Besides this recognition, Luis is also the president of the Junior Philippine Computer Society and is a graduating student vying for cum laude this coming graduation. A professional, a student, an achiever, an iTam – Leo Lorenzo Luis is another living proof of FEU - East Asia College’s excellence.
