4th Annual Students’ Recognition

May 16, 2011

As the School Year 2010-2011 ends, another milestone was set for FEU – East Asia College as it celebrates the 4th Annual Students’ Recognition with “innovated, leveled-up and next-phased first time awards for the College.” Held on May 4, 2011, this year’s recognition was set, for the first time, outside of campus and in an elegant hotel, the Manila Grand Opera Hotel.

The event, which aimed to recognize the exemplary performance of student leaders and achievers and to further inspire them in the coming academic year, was marked with recognitions that were given to the College for the first time. Encompassing both the academic and athletic fields, the iTamaraws bagged awards for the local and national competitions. Students elected in national organizations were also given credit as well as the top performing students per program.

Hailed for the second time in succession, Computer Engineering Organization (CpEO) grabbed the most-anticipated Outstanding Student Organization. Its “Repair of Computer for iTam Resource Center” was also dubbed as the Best Outreach Activity. Still captured by the success of Mr. & Ms. FEU – East Asia College, this SCC-organized activity was hailed the Best RSO Activity while its adviser Ms. Mary Grace A. Untal was selected as the Outstanding Organization Adviser. Lastly, fresh from his national achievements and recognitions, Mr. Dan Lester S. Mendoza was awarded the Outstanding Organization Officer for the Student Coordinating Council.

Although the Annual Recognition ends another academic year, this also marks a new beginning to a new horizon of the students’ career. Moreover, the awards given to student achievers are not the measurement of their ability to lead but just an additional reward to motivate and inspire them to pursue their endeavors.
