Another iTamaraw for the TOSP-NCR

May 10, 2011

The School Year for 2010-2011 might have ended but the recognitions for the iTamaraws have not. After the precedent set by Mr. John Paul Sibug in 2009 and Ms. Rachelle Masilungan in 2010, another iTamaraw was recognized by the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) community this 2011. Dan Lester S. Mendoza, outgoing president of the Student Coordinating Council, was chosen finalist in the TOSP – NCR.

Coinciding with TOSP-NCR’s fifth year, the TOSP Alumni Community chose 19 student leaders as finalists in recognition that the young are at the helm of nation building. Through their selfless service, leadership and example, these outstanding students contributed to the TOSP-NCR’s commitment of bringing nation building to life.

Living up to these qualities, Mendoza’s advocacy promoted volunteerism as he believes that it is the key in creating a dynamic civil society. This was apparent in the programs that he implemented during his term in the College. His outstanding leadership and academic excellence led him to bag numerous recognitions during this school year alone. These will be further highlighted in his candidacy for graduation in Industrial Engineering, with an expected Latin honor attached to his name.
