FEU-EAC Grads Top Board Examinations
June 13, 2011
While the heat of the sun continues to scorch, graduates of FEU – East Asia College continue to emerge with blistering passion and determination as three iTamaraws top the 2011 Electrical Engineering (EE) and Civil Engineering (CE) Licensure Examinations. Heightening the pride and glory of their Alma Mater were Engr. Alain Bernardo, Engr. Miguel Angelo Clemente, and Engr. Vincent Trogo.
With an average of 87.05%, Engr. Alain Bernardo snatched the 10th place in the 2011 EE Board Examination. The importance of consistency in academics and social responsibilities enabled him to get the position, making him the first iTam to be included in the Top 10 list of topnotchers in the said exam.
A month later, two other iTams successfully epitomized the excellent education and intensive training that they experienced from the College as Engr. Miguel Angelo Clemente and Engr. Vincent Trogo snatched the 2nd and 4th places, respectively in the 2011 CE Licensure Examinations.
Although Engr. Trogo used to live in mediocrity as a student and did not ever expect to top the board examination, perseverance and discipline along with proper time management were his keys to success giving him an average of 95.25% and ranked 4th place on the said exam.
On the other hand, Engr. Clemente, who graduated Magna Cum Laude this February, had been a recipient of the President’s Scholarship in the College. He had sustained outstanding academic accomplishments while committing himself to student organizations, notably Junior Philippine Institute of Civil Engineering (JPICE). Engr. Clemente ranked 2nd in the CE Board Examinations with an average of 95.95%, an achievement he believed to be possible with the help of his mentors in the College.
Apart from Engr. Bernardo, Engr. Trogo and Engr. Clemente, twelve new licensed Electrical Engineers and thirty new licensed Civil Engineers join the College’s roster of board passers. Now the industry awaits these promising professionals who are trained not only to excel in their respective fields but also to be catalysts in advancing the lives of others – true to the College’s mission of producing competent and principled professionals who will contribute to the betterment of the society.
