FEU-EAC Joins the Habitat for Humanity Project

June 17, 2011

Recognizing the need of the underprivileged for a decent place to live in, FEU – East Asia College, through the initiatives of the Community Extension Service Unit (CESU) and the Math and Physical Sciences (MPS) Department, teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to help in the construction of a housing facility for displaced families of Pasig.

Geared with hard hats, gloves and long sleeves, thirteen Associates went to Brgy. Nagpayong in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City on May 25, 2011. Together with the beneficiaries, they worked on the construction despite the warm weather and the drizzle in the afternoon.

Among the Associates who shared their time and efforts were Evelyn Ruth Manuel, Jose Elvena Jr., Denisia Villaos, Maria Luz Santos, Lilian Gumban, Frederick Belen, Edilberto Tripoli, Jocelyn Antonio, Ma. Crisella Pelaez, Elizabeth Dino, Josephine Belleza, Antonette Torreda and Emily Rose Bautista.

Aside from the academic excellence FEU-EAC continues to demonstrate, it never ceases to be a catalyst in helping the disadvantaged members of the society.
