Artist Connection Continues to Show-Off

October 28, 2011

FEU - East Asia College has been making a stir in the society when it comes to excellent provision of education and training to iTamaraws – the growing number of topnotchers and successful alumni are proofs of that. Recently, however, the College began to make a name in the performing arts as well.

Proving their cutting edge choreography and diverse rhythmic styles, the Exude Dancers - the dancing virtuosos of the Artist Connection headed by AC President Joseph Robert Mendoza - emerged champion in the Set Dance Competition of the Youth for Christ Campus Assembly West B Campus Based held at the Amoranto Sports Complex on August 14, 2011. With their robotic moves and maneuvers collaborated with modern dance and ballet, Exude Dancers retained the championship title from last year as they won over the seven competing teams from other universities and colleges.

After taking over the “Barracks”, the cluster campus assembly theme, Exude completed the battle on the West B Sector Based Conference themed “Combat”. Their dancing expertise made them successfully represent the campus-based sector and defeat the representatives of the high school-based and community-based sectors on September 18, 2011 at the same venue. This triumph advanced them to the Metro Manila Conference held on October 17-18, 2011 at the First Asian Institute in Technology and Humanities in Tanauan, Batangas where they bagged the 1st runner-up title.

Meanwhile, other entries of the College to the YFC Campus Assembly also made it to the list. Led by YFC FEU-EAC Chapter President Kevin Habig, the Up Above Band was hailed first runner-up in the band category while FEU-EAC Symphony was able to successfully represent the College after a magnificent performance in the show choir category. Also, the College’s gag video entry was the third most liked video on Facebook in the Barracks Campus Assembly page.
