Exude Dancers Conquer Showtime’s Center Stage

January 20, 2012

Even the scorching heat of the sun and the famished stomachs did not stop the whole FEU community from supporting the Artist Connection - Exude Dancers as they conquer the stage of ABS-CBN’s Showtime on January 12, 2012.

Decked with their black and green Tamaraw-inspired costumes, rock hairstyles and the full force of FEU, the elite dancing group of Artist Connection, Exude Dancers, made their way on national television after being chosen one of the contenders in the Campus Clash Edition of the country’s most sought-after morning variety show Showtime. With their cutting edge choreography and diverse rhythmic styles, the Exude Dancers wowed the five hurados of the show winning over Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology, and St. John Bosco Institute of Arts and Science.

The group had been the crowd favorite that even the show staff and crew were betting on them since the start. The high commendations from the judges proved that their grooves and moves are truly worth the win. “You leveled up the competition,” quipped Gretchen Fullido, one of Showtime’s judges and TV Patrol segment anchor who was impressed by their flirty and extensive use of hands and fingers. Even former FEU student and head judge Vice Ganda was astounded by the performance that made him so proud to be a Tamaraw.

Although Exude Dancers did not make it to the Grand Finals, they are still grateful for the experience they have gained and for the chance to showcase their talents and aces on national television. They were also trending on the leading video-sharing website YouTube, hitting over 290, 000 and still counting views in just a short span of time.

FEU – East Asia College once again proved that its commitment is not only towards academic excellence, but also towards its students’ holistic excellence that includes the performing arts and entertainment. The Artist Connection - Exude Dancers has once again demonstrated this commitment.
