iTam Student Interns Receive High Commendations from the Rosetta Group

January 26, 2012

FEU – East Asia College has been producing professionals that are not only productive members of the workforce but values-oriented individuals since its inception. With this commitment, it is not surprising that its industry partners continue to commend the College for the outstanding performance of its students.

The Rosetta Group (formerly Impart Solutions) has commended the four student interns from the ITE Department for their exceptional job. Composed of Information Technology student Jesmar Martinez, and Computer Science students Michael Brian Evangelista, Bernard Hommer Esquivel and Jan Ruben Romero, these student interns were highly commended for their professional work attitude and for the quality of work they did. One of the major contributions the student interns made was in the development of the payroll system, which has been accredited by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), the leading tax administration, not only in the Asia-Pacific Region but also in the world. Rosetta Group acknowledges the valuable contribution of the student-interns since the achievement is a milestone for them.

The Student Internship Program of FEU-EAC, which runs from 3 to 8 months, is one of its academic advantages since it provides students intensive immersion in their field of expertise. The program is furthermore strengthened by the College’s strong partnership with its industry partners, giving student interns with over 360 internship sites to choose from. Bernard Esquivel, one of the student-interns commended, at first was not impressed with the Student Internship Program. Now he is grateful not only for the extensive training he got from the Rosetta Group but for the job offer given to him, even before he graduates.

“These students will go far if they keep up their current character and outlook towards their work”, quips Ms. Grace Cariño, Executive Vice President and General Manager of The Rosetta Group. On top of the technical courses the College offers its students, values-oriented and professional ethics courses are integrated into the curriculum, which enhances the non-skill facets of its students. This is in accordance to the College’s commitment of bettering the society through individuals who are skillful and principled at the same time.

In a pool of students aiming for the same goal of impressing the industry, iTamaraws continue to standout and shine from the rest as they unceasingly display their exceptional quality of work and professional attitude to the world. FEU – East Asia College is proud of Bernard Hommer Esquivel, Michael Brian Evangelista, Jesmar Martinez, and Jan Ruben Romero for their outstanding performance.
