Guidance Unit
Basic Philosophy
“Every individual person is capable of self-actualization” – Carl Rogers.
A student is an individual person endowed with many potentials. These potentials are his means in discovering, exploring and actualizing himself. The school is primarily designed to enhance and mold these natural gifts of student, thus, making him active and proactive contributor to the progress and development of the community and the society he belongs. These are basically the reasons of the existence of the Guidance Unit.
The program is developmental yet preventive in approach. It is focused on the guidance principle that a student is capable of discovering, understanding and directing himself. Further, the programs are designed to assist and help the student in the process of adapting to his environment, assessing himself and making wise decision based on a sound judgment.
