The Junior Philippine Computer Society aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the youth in the field of Information and Communications Technology. JPCS' mission is to create and maintain an exciting extracurricular environment for future IT professionals where they are united in the banner of leadership, technical excellence, and ethical conduct while fostering among themselves lasting friendship.
Vision/Mission
It aims to provide students with the complementary experiences needed to become a world-class I.T professional in addition to what they learn in school. It provides the students an opportunity to experience unity with other students from different schools in the pursuit of I.T excellence through common project.
It aims to provide the knowledge and skills of the youth in the field of Information and Communications Technology by creating and maintaining an exciting extracurricular environment for future I.T professional wherein the youth is united under the banner of leadership, technical excellence and ethical conduct while fostering among themselves lasting friendship.
History
The FEU-East Asia College Computer Society was originally conceived by Mr. Jojo Castillo group in 1993 as part of their Application Project 1 (Approj1). Mr. Jay Baylon group revived this in 1994 with Ms. Ana Marie Francisco as the Dean, as the first adviser. In 1995 the organization was inactive and in 1998 it was reborn by Mr. Richard Jose as president and Ms. Virginia Andino as Vice-President. As the College’s sole representative to the national organization of IT student enthusiasts (Junior Philippine Computer Society, formerly known FEU-East Asia College Computer Society finally changed its name to JPCS FEU-East Asia College Chapter.
